i just ordered amy vanderbilt's complete book of etiquette through abebooks for $1. pity the postage was $13.50.

Small secondhand booksellers pack books nicely too. Iz needed.

oh, I read this with dread!
what on earth would I do without abebooks? I would drown in library fines, for a start. I buy all my books there: such bargains, and they never fail me. never!!!

I like the fact that you can find local suppliers on Abe, so you know a small shop near you gets the benefit.
Apparently it will all still run as usual though. So that's good.
They seem very happy with themselves about the sale.
