Here can be found a poem from the T.S. Eliot prizewinner for 2009, Jen Hadfield, whose second collection has snared her the gong. Shetland, where she works, is well pleased.
There seemed to be quite a lot of Scottish poets in the lineup - here's a poem from Robert Crawford. Here, too, is one by US poet Mark Doty, just for people who are a bit thingy about clipping their nails.
And here is something else from the Guardian website that at first I was completely horrified by, then realised it's not as bad as I thought. This link better be permanent, though.

It's a pretty mad idea, isn't it, 1000 novels. The only interest for me in those lists is marking off the ones I've already read - the rest are pretty much going by in a blur!
