From Arts Hub comes this expression of support from the US Authors Guild for the retention of territorial copyright in Australia. Director Paul Aiken said on July 13 that “It’s hard to believe a country would choose to devalue its publishers' backlists in this way, forcing publishers to compete against cheap imports for the very titles they had chosen to invest in.”

My dear friend whose permanent tickets at the ballet keep me informed of it all, is not a blogger - she thinks anything that happens on a computer gets participants murdered or arrested. she 'tsk tsks' when I say 'blog', so I will be thrilled to write that her heroes do it.
